- 1 Cor. 16:14
There is a race to be run. This race is not a competition with our neighbor; we are not running away because we are being chased by the enemy, we are running towards the finish line of the last days, and we will claim a prize even greater than a gold medal.
Jesus said He was sent to do the will of God, and it was God’s desire that no person perish, but all come to have eternal life. Thus, the Lord has commissioned us to go into all the world and preach the gospel to give people a chance to hear about the Lord who loves them so much, and to receive Him as their personal Savior.
It took only four (4) years of training for each Olympic athlete to prepare for their race, but God has had some of us in training for decades. Why?There is a great harvest of souls that are about to come to know the Lord as their personal savior in these last days.We cannot stop. It is vitally important to keep going no matter what obstacles the devil throws in our path.
steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc.,
especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.
We are in training, with God as our coach. Not only is the Lord constantly encouraging us, He is allowing the devil to set up hurdles of disappointment, frustration, illness and/or loss of finances to build endurance in us.
God knows it has been a long season of training, but what lies ahead is so important. I want to encourage you to keep going. We have come into a time in the church where even Christians are compromising their beliefs by co-mingling what they learned with other doctrines and false religions. They think they are running the race, however, they are running on the wrong track.
Remember, it is not a competition, so it does not matter how fast you run the race that matters to the Lord. What matters is that you run this race. You are in God’s timing, and He will get you to your destination right on time. He knows we are tired, and we start out each week with great hope and expectation, only to find that the week ends no different than the week before. It seems the scenery never changes, but rest assured it is about to.
Yes, it can be a discouraging factor, but we need to trust in the Lord that He knows the right time to reveal to you what He created for you to do all along.
God is doing a new thing. He says, “we have not walked this way before.” There has been a church hidden behind the scenes that God has been preparing to rise up. It is a church with renewed power, renewed strength and a greater anointing. It is a church that was willing to sit at the feet of Jesus to be trained according to the Will of God, instead of running around on their own doing their own thing.
Heavy things are coming our way, and God is raising up a very precise army of warriors who will be able run and not be weary, walk and not faint.
