- 1 Cor. 16:14
The United States is getting ready to birth a move of God like the world has never seen.
Our Nation is experiencing labor pains because of it. We are experiencing discomfort in the Mid-West with the drought, along the West Coast with the recent 7.7 earthquake and two 3.9 earthquakes in Southern California this past weekend, and now Hurricane Sandy on the East Coast. The United States is going through contractions.
The Lord is saying: "Continue to push."
How do we push? We pray.
This is a pivotal time not only for the United States, but for every Nation represented on this planet. There is a battle raging in the Heavenlies. It is a battle of good versus evil, of Godly vs. ungodly, of what is right versus what is acceptable. The Book of Daniel talks of angels of the Lord doing battle in the spirit realm, and that is what is happening now. Disasters taking place on Earth are a direct result of the battles taking place in the spirit realm.
It is time for the church to “Wake Up” and to take its rightful place as a church that prays with power and authority, instead of ignoring what is going on around them. We must be a church that does not back down in the face of evil. We must take a stand to do what is right, not what is popular. Being politically correct versus morally correct compromises the Word of God. The church has become complacent; it is asleep, when it should get out of bed, and be on its knees in prayer.

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
We must “stand in the gap” for those who do not know to pray and repent.
The church has gotten lazy in praying for its leaders. We must pray, or we have no excuse when disaster strikes. We must stand in the gap for people and for entire Nations, and pray for repentance. As the above scripture tells us, if we repent from our heart and turn from our wicked ways, God will relent on some disasters that have been prophesied will happen because of our refusal to repent.
29 The people of the land have used oppressions, committed robbery, and mistreated the poor and needy; and they wrongfully oppress the stranger. 30 So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. 31 Therefore I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; and I have recompensed their deeds on their own heads,” says the Lord God.
Prayer changes things. It does not matter what it looks like or what it feels like, we must continue to pray and praise the Lord until we see the answers to our prayers come to pass. The rest of the world is looking to the United States to see if it will rise up with the power it once had to be a Nation of God-fearing people who say “In God We Trust” and mean it.
"If that nation against whom I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it."
